New River Gorge Family Side by Side Tour
New River ATV’s New River Gorge Side by Side Tours are geared towards getting families out on the trail together! Take the kids out for a ride and see why UTVs are all the rage! While this tour was designed to get the whole family out, it has just as much mud and fun for a Wild and Wonderful excursion!
All operators must be 25+ with a valid US driver’s license. All passengers must be 8+ with a parent or guardian present. Rates are per machine. Machines seat up to 4 people.
Itinerary: Meet your guide at our facility half an hour prior to your trip time. Your guide will walk you through filling out and signing your liability waiver and equipment rental agreement. After that, your guide will fit you with helmets, provide eye protection upon request, and give you basic instructions on Side by Side operation. If all goes well, you’ll be departing for your trip about 30 minutes after arriving. For the next 2 hours, give or take, you’ll be out on the trail with your guide exploring the hills and hollers of Wild and Wonderful West Virginia!

Without a doubt, this is all our staff’s favorite trip! No one knows our trails like our guides. They do hundreds of tours every year. They know every rock, rut, and hazard. If you really want to step it up a few notches, this is the trip for you! Let one of our professional guides take the wheel and really show you what our machines can do! You’ll get to see trails we don’t take on our regular, commercial trips. If you want to know what we do on Friday nights once our guests go home – this is it! Why not just join us?

Country Roads Full Day Tour
New for 2024, our Country Roads Full Day Tour has changed format! In the morning, take your choice of either 2 ATVs or 1 Side by Side (UTV) and hit the trails with one of our awesome guides. Bring a picnic or check out one of our favorite local joints for lunch before heading off to explore the New River Gorge National Park & Preserve by Jeep! We’ll investigate ghost towns, check out historical sites, tell you tall tales about the history of our area, and, of course, get you down and dirty in the mud! All in you’ll cover up to 90 miles of trail, country roads (take me home), and dirt! When you’re all done, we’ll give you a cold beer and leave you with stories of an adventure that will last a lifetime!

Your guide will walk you through filling out and signing your liability waiver and equipment rental agreement. After that, your guide will fit you with helmets, provide eye protection upon request, and give you basic instructions on machine operation. If all goes well, you’ll be departing for your trip about 30 minutes after arriving and be out on the trails for 2 (Side by Side) or 2.5 (ATV) hours! You’ll then have an hour and a half break for lunch and come back 30 minutes prior to your Jeep Tour time. For the next 4 hours, give or take, you’ll be out on the country roads with your guide exploring the hills and hollers of Wild and Wonderful West Virginia!
New River Gorge Nature Side by Side Tour
Stop to smell the flowers, literally, on our New River Gorge Side by Side Nature Tour! Use our Side by Sides to get to remote areas and spend four hours deep in the woods with one of our local naturalists and learn about the birds, trees, bugs, and critters. Your guide will show you the way to some of their favorite spots in our area and explore with you while sharing their knowledge of the interesting and special things about the ecosystems here at the New River Gorge! Water is provided, but feel free to bring some snacks!
